Efficacy

efficacy (noun)

: the power to produce an effect

Yes, it's true, though all of Mudville was disappointed, his wife still loved him, and decided that night she would efficacy.

Her efficacy as a parent was such that her children behaved like gibbons in a zoo.

I completely agree!!! the first example uses efficacy as a verb - "she would efficacy" - when the poster clearly stated the definition said it was a noun.

Purely Dreadful!

The first example is a joke, a play on phonemes.
